Features of All-on-4 Treatment
There are three main features of the All-on-4 treatment. The first feature is that this treatment has four dental implants to support a full fixed bridge. Another feature is the use of angulated implants in the back of your mouth to overcome bone deficiencies or anatomical structures. The third feature is the ability for immediate input.
Who Qualifies for All-on-4 Treatment?
This process is a minimally invasive procedure, so many more people qualify for it than you would expect, even patients who are medically delicate will be able to undergo this procedure. The most important factor of being a candidate is your ability to heal. If you do not heal well or take a medication that limits your healing ability, this doesn’t mean you don’t qualify, it just means that you will need to take more precautions during your healing process to make sure everything is healed the right way.
What to Expect from All-On-4 Treatment
This treatment plan utilizes four dental implants which are placed in your upper and lower jaw arches to permanently be secured in place. The implants will not be placed at an angle as usual, and they will be longer than normal implants. Bone density is less likely to be an issue with this treatment plan.
All-on-4 treatments are minimally invasive. There is no bone grafting necessary before the implants can be placed. This plan also allows you to get new teeth instantly after your treatment plan is complete.
This treatment can also improve your quality of life. Missing teeth and dentures can be an adjustment because you will have to change how you eat. By replacing your missing teeth with the All-on-4 method, you can continue using your teeth and eating the same foods as you did before. You can eat the foods you want without having to worry about your teeth becoming loose. You also don’t have to worry about dentures that cover the roof of your mouth which limit your ability to eat foods properly.
All-On-4 Implant Placement
The placement of this treatment will begin with an exam by our dentist. We will choose a treatment plan that is designed specifically for you and your needs. This implant retained denture treatment takes your dentures (the ones you already have or a new set that will be created for you) and surgically attaches them to your jaw. The material used is titanium because it has the ability to mend itself to your jawbone. When you need a repair, we use titanium because it is a material that your body will not reject. The titanium will become incorporated into your bone, bonding it for a strong, firm hold.
