Most people do not have a perfect bite and this means that malocclusion is a cosmetic procedure that will require you to change how you look. The fact that your bite is not perfect might make you have low self-esteem. Crooked teeth on the other hand might be hard to clean therefore causing tooth decay and cavities.

What causes malocclusion

The cause of malocclusion is having problems with the jaw, teeth, and their shapes and sizes. If the jaw is small the teeth that are growing may be crooked or crowded. If the space is too much the teeth might shift

What are the symptoms of malocclusion?

The most common sign is that the teeth appear crooked or they stick out of the mouth. The teeth will also appear crowded. During the regular dental check-up, the dentist will be able to identify any form of malocclusion and will create the best treatment option for you. The orthodontist will perform treatment procedures for malocclusion and this will include asking more about your medical history, checking your mouth, teeth, and jaw. The orthodontist will also take X-rays of the mouth, jaw, and teeth, and finally make a plaster model of your teeth.

Our orthodontists are ready to perform any cosmetic surgery for you and help you gain that public confidence.
